This is a new feature available from Nextedy Gantt version 23.9.0.
This feature allows you to set the Polarion project as Working Calendar.
In this documentation, we'll guide you through setting up a Polarion project structure for managing calendars and work items.
Follow these steps for a seamless setup.
Project Administration > Work Items > Enumerations
- Workitem Types:
You need to define the following work item types:
- Calendar;
Define the relationships between work items:
- Calendar can inherit/be inherited by another Calendar.
Create an enumeration of weekdays, including Monday to Friday, and an "All" option.
Ensure that you set up the required custom fields for each work item type. This is critical for the functionality of your project.
Configuration for custom fields:
- Calendar:
- Tweak:
- Time Off:
- Time On:
To enable the "Work Item Calendar" functionality within your project, add the following lines to the Administration -> Configuration Properties of the project:
nextedy.gantt.workitemCalendar.projectId=<PROJECTID> nextedy.gantt.workitemCalendar.globalID=<WORKITEMID>
- Replace <PROJECTID> with the projectId of the Calendar Project.
- Replace <WORKITEMID> with the work item ID of a calendar type work item that should be used as the global calendar.
NOTE! Specify the following configuration properties in both target and source projects.
By following these steps and configurations, you'll have a well-structured Polarion project ready to manage calendars and work items efficiently.
