This is a new feature available from version 23.4.0
Please check the initial information about team assignments here before you start configuring the Gantt Chart: click here

In this article, we'll take a look at how to set up the Gantt for Team Assignments.

Previously we've already shown you how to create Team related WI types, but now we can improve the user experience by adding them to the Gantt Chart.

- What this feature is about?

With setting this option you would be able to see the users' allocations, with attention to their % of capacity for the specific teams on a specific period of time.

- Why do you need it?

It will help you to see the capacity of the teams and team members according to their availability and ensure that no one gets overloaded.

- How to achieve it in the Gantt Chart?

Follow our instructions below.

- create a new LiveDoc, that'll hold our Gantt;

- specify the WI type to load: Team and set Load children to 1, so we will see only these 2 specific WI types (Teams and Team Assignments);

- specify the Parent Role and fill the WI Type Configuration section somehow like below;

- select the start and end fields according to the newly created date custom fields;

- as the last important step choose "Assignment Allocation" in the Resource Load Calculation field.

With these configuration settings, you see the Gantt Chart showing Teams and Team Assignment items.

Later, you'll be able to track and modify all teams and team assignments directly on the Gantt Chart.
