By default, Risksheet displays only the work items directly contained in the Live Document, mainly for performance reasons. You can optionally enable support for branched documents and referenced work items.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Enable support for referenced WIs
It is possible to enable alternative mode and show items contained or referenced from the current document.
The referenced work items are, as in the Live Document, read-only. See the gray border and ID in the first column in italics.
The other contained work items are editable.
To enable support for branched documents, go to Polarion Administration > Configuration properties and add the following property.
nextedy.risksheet.editableReferencedWorkItems=true
Edit Referenced WIs
By default, referenced items are read-only.
Starting with version 23.3.3, it is now possible to override this behavior and make them editable.
To enable support for editing referenced WIs, go to Polarion Administration > Configuration properties and add the following property:
nextedy.risksheet.editableReferencedWorkItems=true
Make sure to enable the support for the branched documents/referenced work items first.
Default view with branching enabled: work items are in italics, and fields are not editable.
With enabled edit support, work items are no longer in italics, and fields are editable.
Allow overwriting referenced WIs
Starting with version 24.10.0, it’s now possible to overwrite referenced WIs entirely via the Risksheet interface.
How to overwrite the referenced WI
1. Click on the row with the referenced item you wish to overwrite.
2. After that, you will get a notification saying that on save, the WI will be overwritten.
3. Once saved, the referenced item is overwritten with a new one.
